I keep getting a black screen *Got Card update new problem*

so today i just downloaded the update, now i think it is installed i am not quite sure cause i clicked finish so i assume that was it, so anyway i went to test out Minecraft and to see if it's working better, i only managed a few minutes playing that's about it then i got the black screen again but with white lines going down the screen :/ the only suggestion i can think of is delete minecraft and start again.

any ideas? i thought this would fix my issue
